Avalanche Consultants has facilitated Contractor Development Programmes for Khuthaza. Khuthaza has been involved in contractor development for over 8 years. Their contractor development offerings have grown over the years and now cater to a diverse array of businesses. The women they work with come from different construction disciplines and have varying levels of experience.
Khuthaza's contractor development programmes are unique in that they are made up of 11 components, which offer entrepreneurs a comprehensive platform through which they can develop their skills, knowledge, networks, experience and access to industry opportunities. Ongoing motivation and support complement the following components. The activities within each component vary according to the programme level.

Female Quantity Surveyors Graduate Programme - Matheo Group
Worked with Khuthaza on interviewing and short-listing potential QS graduates to go onto the Matheo Group graduate programme
WBHO Enterprise Development (Pitching Project)
Facilitated a pilot project ran by WBHO, Khuthaza and other established sector companies. The aim was to bring contractors and decision-makers from the established companies to the same table and provide contractors with an opportunity to “pitch” (present/sell) their businesses for enterprise development opportunities.
The project included coaching contractors on effective speaking and presentation skills.
